Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

This is one of my favorite days of the year (although not as much this year since it’s on a Tuesday and I have to do schoolwork so… :P) because it’s such a wonderful time and I LOVE love!

Also, you get to eat chocolate and watch romcoms (although not really the romcoms if you’re my age and you can’t watch anything that was rated above 15 years old on Common Sense Media) which is pretty cool.

I am currently single (which is fairly normal for a homeschooled 13 year old) but I have an amazing family and fantastic friends, so it’s not like I’m ALONE. 😛

I actually have a minor cold right now, so that’s not cool, but hey, I’m able to eat chocolate and I’m not sick enough to where I can’t walk.

Anyways, I was curious, what do you guys do on Valentine’s Day? Do you hang out with your BF or GF? Do you spend time with friends? Or do you enjoy curling up in bed with Netflix and literally all of the chocolate that you can stuff in your face? <—- ME

Let me know how you celebrate Valentine’s Day in the comments!

Lots of love!

30 Day, Gallon A Day Water Challenge

Hello everyone!

I first wanted to say that I got NO name suggestions on my last post. RAEGKAFGKDGKADGM.

Lol, it’s okay. But I just wanted to ask you to please check out my last post and suggest some names. Thanks!

Now, onto the important stuff:

Today I started the 30 Day Water Challenge, which is basically where you drink a gallon of water every day for thirty days.

Needless to say, it definitely IS a challenge.

I have a 24 ounce water bottle and I had to fill it up FIVE times to get to 120 ounces (which is 8 ounces less than a gallon, so I’m kind of cheating a little, but…. uh… yeah.

So, I’ve heard it gets easier after a while, but it is a struggle at first. You kind of start hating the taste of water just because it’s so bland, and if you’re like me, your stomach wants to do that thing where the water jiggles around in your stomach. I ate a lot less dinner tonight, which is actually a good thing, because I snack a lot.

Let me just list the pros and cons to this challenge:

PROS –

It’s supposed to keep you energized all day

It’s supposed to help you wake up easier and happier

It helps to flush out toxins

It helps you lose weight

It helps you be sure of when you are REALLY hungry and not just bored

It’s supposed to help clear up your acne and give you more glowy skin

It might stimulate hair and nail growth.

CONS –

It can be really filling, which makes it hard to continue

You have to pee a LOT

If you do not have a gallon or half gallon bottle, you have to refill a LOT

The pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons. Although, there were at least three times today where I had to pee multiple times within 40 minutes of each other, so that was not cool. So, I’ve used the bathrooms countless times, by the last bottle I was starting to hate water, and it was a very slight nuisance to have to refill it, but I usually did it when I was getting up anyways.

I have had no immediate effects, but I will see if I wake up better and stay more energized tomorrow (I don’t know if that is an instant effect) and see how my skin looks.

Have you guys done this challenge or will you attempt to do it? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a WATERful day! (I know, I know. Super cheesy)

Brand New Theme!

Hey guys!

Seeing as HalloTheme has come to an end, a new theme needed to be chosen! Take a good look at the site! What do you think of this theme (which is called “Brand New Day“)? Some of the features of this theme are how the dates of the blog posts are clouds, there’s a sun at the bottom of the site, and there’s a search bar up at the top for you guys! Here are some things you should know about the theme: 1. You click on the website title (Miss Magic’s Memoir) to get back to the front page. 2. The other websites (suggestions, questions, about) are on the sidebar. 3. The “leave a comment” button is below each post. Also, I have noticed that I am slacking with the Silver Sundays thing (Where I post some poems by the famous poet, Shel Silverstein) so I will try to keep that up a bit better. Hope you guys have fun with the new theme!

Thanks for reading guys!

The Monster Under the Bed

Hi guys! It’s day 5 of HalloTheme! (More info on HalloTheme here.)

Yay! Tomorrow is Halloween! Day of SPOOKS, MONSTERS and CANDY!!!! FLVS Scribbles had a prompt that said:

Your character hears a noise under their bed. What could it be?

Write for 10 minutes. Post your piece to comments.

I did it (for a little longer than ten minutes, it was too much fun) and here is the story that I wrote…

We both paused as the rattling noise sounded again. She started signaling me to look under the bed. I shook my head and signaled for her to do it. She rolled her eyes and nodded, “Scaredy-cat!” she mouthed as she confidently strutted towards the bed. She laid down on the floor next to the bed. I started to shake off my worries until I heard her scream. I jumped up and looked towards her and saw a green, grimy hand pulling her under the bed. Her arms and legs were writhing as she screamed, “Hannah! Help!” I was about to run and grab her when I saw her hand disappear under the bed. “S-s-Sarah?” I stammered. As I slowly marched towards the bed, step by step, I heard my Mom calling me from downstairs. “Hannah? Why are you two screaming?” she asked and I heard her footsteps on the stairs. Mom would never believe what happened and if I told her, she would look for herself. I slammed the door as she stepped up beside me. “We were playing pillow fight!” I lied. “I closed the door so she couldn’t get me.” I laughed nervously. Mom nodded suspiciously. “Well, if you guys are alright I guess that’s fine, although you know I dislike hurting each other.” “We’re using the softest pillows we can find,” I lied through my teeth and put on a big fake grin. I stepped back inside the room after Mom was gone. I decided my only chance was to look under the bed. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I walked stiffly next to the bed. I got down on my knees and dipped my head down shakily. I looked under the bed to find something horrific! Sarah sitting under the bed, holding back a malicious grin. I picked up a pillow and smacked her in the face as she laughed her head off.

Well, there you go! That does seem horrifying! If my brother was trying to freak me out like that, I would want to hit him with more than a pillow! 😛 Tomorrow’s Halloween guys and I hope you have a great one! Comment down below what you are doing for Halloween and what you are going as (if you’re dressing up). Also leave me some prompts, ideas and “What if?“s for me to use in my stories and poems!

Thanks guys and have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!

“Humorous, shy, fragile like a- ZOMBIE!!!

My great Halloween experience

Hi guys! It’s day 4 of HalloTheme! (Here’s the first blog post of the week if you’re wondering what HalloTheme is.)

One of my favorite parts of Halloween is the part where you get to dress up as anything you want and nobody’s like, “Ermahgerd! Why is thert gurl er pirate?” (Translation: Ohmygod! Why is that girl a pirate? [That was for those of you who do not speak ermahgerd]) This year for Halloween, I bought a cape. I’m going to be a caped… lady… *cricket noise*… I haven’t worked out all the details yet, but it’s going to look cool. Anyways, a couple years ago (I was ten years old) I dressed up as a vampiress for Halloween. I looked AWESOME (and I hate to brag)! I had a perfect half circle bun, pale white makeup, a magnificent dress (and that was before I had glasses… :P). My dad always decorates the house really well for Halloween and that year, he made a cardboard coffin. After me and my mom and my brother and our friends got back from trick or treating, the REAL fun began! I laid down in the coffin and I looked out a little slit on the side to see when people were coming. As my victims walked past, I busted out of the coffin to feed- I mean to scare people… totally… Anyways, I even scared a couple of teenage boys! It felt really good in a malicious…. sort of way… That was a good night…. Anyways, comment down below if you ever scared some people pretty bad on Halloween and leave some prompts, ideas, and “What if?“s for me to use in my stories and poems. Also remember, there are only 3 days left of HalloTheme! If you would like to see your scary short stories or poems on my blog, send them to me in a comment down below or (if you want to keep it a complete secret until it’s published) send them to me in my suggestions page!

Thanks guys!
