30 Day, Gallon A Day Water Challenge

Hello everyone!

I first wanted to say that I got NO name suggestions on my last post. RAEGKAFGKDGKADGM.

Lol, it’s okay. But I just wanted to ask you to please check out my last post and suggest some names. Thanks!

Now, onto the important stuff:

Today I started the 30 Day Water Challenge, which is basically where you drink a gallon of water every day for thirty days.

Needless to say, it definitely IS a challenge.

I have a 24 ounce water bottle and I had to fill it up FIVE times to get to 120 ounces (which is 8 ounces less than a gallon, so I’m kind of cheating a little, but…. uh… yeah.

So, I’ve heard it gets easier after a while, but it is a struggle at first. You kind of start hating the taste of water just because it’s so bland, and if you’re like me, your stomach wants to do that thing where the water jiggles around in your stomach. I ate a lot less dinner tonight, which is actually a good thing, because I snack a lot.

Let me just list the pros and cons to this challenge:

PROS –

It’s supposed to keep you energized all day

It’s supposed to help you wake up easier and happier

It helps to flush out toxins

It helps you lose weight

It helps you be sure of when you are REALLY hungry and not just bored

It’s supposed to help clear up your acne and give you more glowy skin

It might stimulate hair and nail growth.

CONS –

It can be really filling, which makes it hard to continue

You have to pee a LOT

If you do not have a gallon or half gallon bottle, you have to refill a LOT

The pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons. Although, there were at least three times today where I had to pee multiple times within 40 minutes of each other, so that was not cool. So, I’ve used the bathrooms countless times, by the last bottle I was starting to hate water, and it was a very slight nuisance to have to refill it, but I usually did it when I was getting up anyways.

I have had no immediate effects, but I will see if I wake up better and stay more energized tomorrow (I don’t know if that is an instant effect) and see how my skin looks.

Have you guys done this challenge or will you attempt to do it? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a WATERful day! (I know, I know. Super cheesy)

Blog name change?

Hi guys.

So, I was kind of thinking. Maybe it’s time to change the name of my blog. I just kind of feel like “Miss Magic’s Memoir” is… I don’t know what it is. Maybe I’m sick of it or maybe I’ve grown out of it. I have no idea.

I don’t know if I am going to change it or when that will be if I do, but I would like your help coming up with new names for the blog. I would like it to be fairly short and snappy. I obviously like alliteration 😛 And my blog doesn’t really have a purpose right now. It’s kind of just… my personal rambles.

Thank you guys so much for your help! I want to say thank you to the people who actually ready my blog. I may have 50 followers, but if you’re reading this you’re one of the few who are true followers, so I thank you for that.

NaNoWriMo

Hello!

This November, I am going to be attemtpting to complete NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month).

If you don’t know what NaNo is, you basically have to try to write a 50,000 word story in just 30 days. It technically runs through November, but if you wish to challenge yourself, you can do it whenever you want, there will just be no reward other than the reward of finishing a book.

If you do it in the month of November, there are still no official prizes but you are able to get awards and discounts from NaNo sponsors.

Anyways, I will be doing it this year, and I am really only worried in my commitment. I always bring up my worries of low commitment, I plan most things around it in case I give up, but I really don’t want to give up. Slowly, I’m gaining more hope, though. I might, maybe, be able to pull it off!

I would be happy thrilled to accept any motivation or advice from fellow NaNo-doers or even if you aren’t doing NaNo, it would be greatly appreciated! 😀

If you want to add me as a writing buddy on NaNoWriMo, my username is ChocolateWriting.

Thanks! 😀

Two things…

Happy anniversary this blog!

Exactly one year ago, I began my blog. Within a year I have gained over 50 followers and many blogging buddies, so thank you very much!

Now, I don’t know if anyone else is doing NaNoWriMo, but I will be attempting it this year by myself (last year I tried to do it with other people and failed because they never added anything :P) and I am holding a cover contest for my book. I already have one submission, but if you are an artist or enjoy making covers as a hobby, I hope you decide to enter! The link to the forum thread is here.

If you are doing NaNo, then happy NaNo-ing! Add me as a writing buddy. My username is ChocolateWriting.

Adios!

Hello… it’s me…

^^^^^^ Yes, I just quoted an Adele song, don’t judge me.

Well, I’m back.

I haven’t posted since… since a couple months before Summer began…

I apologize.

I do.

I’m not sure exactly why I didn’t post. It might have been because I was lazy and just wanted to be a couch potato all Summer.

Or maybe because I did my first Summer camp and I got super distracted.

After a while it just seemed kind of… hard to come back. It’s like, will anyone respond? Will I enjoy it as much as I used to?

But here is what I am going to do.

This is my blog. MY blog (I hope that doesn’t sound conceited). I’m not going to be as strict with myself anymore about posting. If I want to, I will. I won’t feel bad if I start something and don’t finish it, because this blog is an experiment. This whole thing is an experiment.

And it’s one of the fun kinds where things can explode and you can end up with baking soda and vinegar everywhere.

In a good way.

What I’m saying is, I make the rules on here. So, if I want to post six posts in one day, leaving me with nothing for the rest of the week, I’ll do it.

If I don’t post for a month, oh well, I’ll see you guys again soon. I know I will.

This blog is for me to express myself. It’s kind of my outlet for anything.

You know that store that you love that has literally anything and everything? It might be a Bed, Bath and Beyond, or a Target, or a Walmart, or even the Dollar Store.

This is that store. It has anything and everything. It might go out of stock once in a while, or be shut down due to “Unknown reasons”, but it will be back. With big sales to draw you in. Or maybe it’ll stay nice and quiet, just how you like it.

But it might change. They might have painted the walls, replaced the tile with hardwood flooring, or even changed the name. But it’s the same store. Run by the same people. With all of the same merchandise.

So, welcome back to Miss Magic’s Memoir.

LET’S DO THIS!!

*cue battle music and explosions*
