NaNoWriMo

Hello!

This November, I am going to be attemtpting to complete NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month).

If you don’t know what NaNo is, you basically have to try to write a 50,000 word story in just 30 days. It technically runs through November, but if you wish to challenge yourself, you can do it whenever you want, there will just be no reward other than the reward of finishing a book.

If you do it in the month of November, there are still no official prizes but you are able to get awards and discounts from NaNo sponsors.

Anyways, I will be doing it this year, and I am really only worried in my commitment. I always bring up my worries of low commitment, I plan most things around it in case I give up, but I really don’t want to give up. Slowly, I’m gaining more hope, though. I might, maybe, be able to pull it off!

I would be happy thrilled to accept any motivation or advice from fellow NaNo-doers or even if you aren’t doing NaNo, it would be greatly appreciated! πŸ˜€

If you want to add me as a writing buddy on NaNoWriMo, my username is ChocolateWriting.

Thanks! πŸ˜€

NaPoWriMo – FINAL DAY!!!!

Hi guys!

WOOHOOOOOOOOO WE MADE IT!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Today’s poem is very special because I am taking one line from every day of NaPo!

Flying in the sky

Happiness prevails

Terrifying winds

My favorite song

I woke up weary-eyed but filled with cheer

I can see the sky above

Miss Magic’s Memoir

A gift from the sky

Birds chirp above

Perfect

Shadow is her name

Adventure awaits

Without courage and without heart

Fatal forces hunt us

Torn to shreds

In the sunrise

And the hours seem so short

But we fight and sing cheers the whole way

The small dragon’s heart

And truce

Here is where I am happy and free

You are free too

Fills my heart with emotion

And her dress is flowing with the breeze

I want to be the hero too

says that dark dog named Sparky

I remember the way that every wave was exciting

Even though I had an odd feeling about the trip

Welcome to Utopia

First door on the right

I’m sure we’ll see you again in the morning

So I bid you a good night.

The lines were only altered a little bit. I will give you a shoutout on my blog if you can name when every line was from (which poem/day). It’s okay if you look back. I just want to see if anyone takes the time to do it πŸ˜›

As you might be able to tell I used the whole last paragraph of the Utopia poem. One it was because I like that poem and two it was because it seemed like such a good ending to the month.

Thank you guys so much for joining me on this adventure. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do the whole thing, but I did and you guys made it so much more fun. The real champion is YOU! πŸ˜€

NaPoWriMo – Day #29

Hi guys!

Tomorrow is the last day! Congrats to everyone who made it this far! I’m surprised I even did! πŸ˜›

The prompt on NaPo today is t write a poem using things you remember.

I remember the way that the waves smelled, oddly inviting.

I remember the way that the sand was hot to the touch.

I remember the way that every wave was exciting.

I remember the way how the water was never too much.

That was a poem about the beach. We do a beach vacation every Summer and I’m so excited to go back this year!! πŸ˜€

NaPoWriMo – Day #28

Hi guys!

The prompt on the NaPo website is to tell a story, but backwards. It seems like fun and I’m going to give it a try.

The branch broke and I fell down the cliff

My heart sank as

We were playing by the edge

Finally, we arrived at the cliff

And I packed my backpack with a smile on my face

We were going camping at the Grand Canyon

Mom yelled to tell me that breakfast was ready

I woke up weary-eyed but filled with cheer

Even though I had an odd feeling about the trip

Comment down below if you have ever written a poem like this! It’s pretty interesting!

Also, I wanted to say that I got so many cool comments on my last post and I wanted to thank you guys for that! It’s so fun interacting with you guys! πŸ˜€

Thanks for reading!

Hi guys!

Once, again, I must condemn you to a haiku. I promise for the last day of NaPo I’ll do something special. πŸ™‚
